Beijing, March 25, 2019 – Long-time Audi customer team B-Quik Racing will field two Audi R8 LMS in this season’s Thailand Super Series. Joining the Thailand-based team’s newly acquired 2019 Audi R8 LMS GT3 on the grid over the four-event series will be an Audi R8 LMS ultra. B-Quik Racing will be looking to continue its recent run of success in the series having taken Super Car GTM Team championships over the last two seasons.
Team boss and B-Quik CEO Henk Kiks will be joined behind the wheel of the new car by Daniel Bilski, a former Audi Sport R8 LMS Cup Am and Masters champion. In the team’s ultra will be accomplished Thai driver Sandy Stuvik and a yet-to-be-named fellow FIA silver-ranked competitor.
Complimenting the full-season assault on the Thailand Super Series, Kiks and Bilski will enter the team’s new GT3 machine in the Sepang (Malaysia) and Buriram (Thailand) double-headers of Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia, competing for Am Cup honours.
“B-Quik Racing have enjoyed consistent success with the Audi R8 LMS for many years in Asia. It’s great to see such an active Audi customer team in the region take the next step along their development with this ambitious programme for 2019. We wish them the best of luck,” said Martin Kuehl, Director of Audi Sport customer racing Asia.
“It goes without saying that I’m looking forward to this season, it’s set to be the biggest and most exciting for the team yet and the perfect way to kick off our second decade racing. The new R8 GT3 Evo is a big step up for the team, but the time is right for this challenge and I’m confident that we can rise together and seize the opportunity,” said Henk Kiks, CEO of B-Quik Co. Ltd.
The Thailand Super Series gets underway with a double-header at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia on April 20-21. After that the series plays out in Thailand, with two Chang International Circuit double-headers in June and October separated by the season’s showpiece event at the beachside Bangsaen Grand Prix on August 31-September 1.
B-Quik Racing’s first outing for the 2019 Audi R8 LMS, however, will be at Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia, which gets underway on April 6-7 at the Sepang International Circuit.
